12/13/2013 - JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash. -- Approximately 4,000 service members and their families packed McChord Field's hangar four, which was transformed into a wrestling arena, to witness World Wrestling Entertainment's Tribute to the Troops event here, Dec. 11.

The event featured 40 WWE superstars and divas taking turns brawling in the ring at center stage, as well as performances by comedian Jeff Dunham and rock band Daughtry.

The night's main event at the hangar was the conclusion of a day-long visit to JBLM.  Earlier in the day, the superstars and divas visitied multiple locations around JBLM to meet and greet service members, sign autographs and learn about various missions throughout the installation.

The event is scheduled to be televised nationally Dec. 28, on NBC.


A final check of lighting and sound is performed prior to opening the doors to ticket holders, Dec. 11, 2013, at the WWE Tribute to the Troops event at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. McChord Field's hangar four was transformed into a wrestling arena in which 4,000 service members and family members were treated to a free show which included live music and comedy performance interspersed among wrestling matches. Despite the frigid temperatures WWE brought some action packed heat to JBLM. Thank you for the awesome show
